At Bayside Physical Therapy, we strive to put you at ease from the very beginning. We help alleviate the uncertainty of beginning your physical therapy journey with our welcoming attitude and our bright, inviting space.

Whether it’s TMJ therapy or physical therapy to make you stronger, we are here to help you. We want to keep you as satisfied and as comfortable as possible during the process. Our physical therapists will lead you through the evaluation process to find the proper approach to beginning your treatment plan.

Once your evaluation is completed, our first treatment priority is to address and relieve your pain. We will reduce your pain before moving to the next phases of care, which involve mobility, strength, and skill levels.

Q:  Do I need to see my doctor for a prescription to get Physical Therapy?

A:  According to State of Florida regulations, you may refer yourself to physical therapy. However, some insurance companies require you to see your physician for a prescription prior to starting physical therapy if you would like them to cover any of the costs. For questions about your insurance coverage, contact us at (727) 441-5044, or contact your insurance provider directly.

Q:  Can I request registration paperwork ahead of time?

A:  Yes. To request your registration paperwork, contact us at (727) 441-5044. We can email the packet to you, or you can pick it up at the clinic. Filling it out ahead of time will save you from having to arrive early for your first appointment.

Q: How long will my Physical Therapy appointment last?

A: You should plan for about an hour of evaluation and treatment time with your physical therapist. If subsequent appointments need to be scheduled, those will last about an hour as well.

Q:  What should I bring with me for the first appointment?

A:  Please bring your insurance card, a driver’s licence or photo ID, a list of current medications, and any pertinent test result reports from your doctor. A face mask is also recommended until precautions are no longer advised locally.

Q:  When can I schedule follow-up appointments for PT?

A: By the end of your first appointment, you will know the suggested plan and if additional appointments are recommended. Follow-up treatment frequency and the projected duration will also be determined. You may request appointment times that would be convenient for your schedule in accordance with our availability.

Q:  I know others who could really benefit from Physical Therapy.  May I suggest that they should go to Bayside Physical Therapy?

A: Yes! We are currently accepting new patients. We appreciate ‘word-of-mouth’ recommendations since it reflects our personal approach, our individualized treatments, and our focus on results. Our patients appreciate finding pain relief and getting back to normal!
