Payment / Insurance for Physical Therapy Treatment
Physical therapy greatly benefits patients by bringing them toward recovery from their problems. Usually, health insurance will pay most or at least a portion of the cost, but some insurance plans have very limited coverage or no coverage.
Whether your pain or problem stems from a sports-related injury, poor posture at work, or any other reason, your Bayside physical therapist will provide premium care at an affordable price.
To help you get the professional, compassionate care you need, we are currently working diligently to add physical therapy insurance options through several major carriers. Bayside Physical Therapy also offers flexible, affordable payment plans for patients who are underinsured or uninsured.
What Types of Insurance Plans Does Bayside Physical Therapy Accept?
For your convenience, we are negotiating with all major physical therapy providers in the area. We currently accept Medicare and "fee for service" (cash, check, or credit card due at time of service).
Does Insurance Cover Physical Therapy?
Most insurance plans, including Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, commercial plans, and private insurers, will automatically pay their contractual agreed-upon portion of the physical therapy bill.
We file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients; however, insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance carrier yourself to determine what coverage they provide for physical therapy. We cannot guarantee what your insurance carrier will pay.
Your insurance provider can tell you whether your insurance covers the recommended services, and what (if any) your co-pay is, and if your deductible has been met.
What If I Don’t Have Insurance?
If you don’t have health insurance that covers physical therapy treatments, you can still receive services from Bayside Physical Therapy by paying directly. If cost is an issue, you may want to ask your physical therapist to modify your plan so you can do more of your treatment on your own. We can do this to accommodate your situation if necessary. This is not an ideal scenario since your physical therapy program ideally evolves and changes as your condition responds to the skilled intervention, and that is best with an in-person approach.
As an alternative, you may want to establish a payment plan at Bayside Physical Therapy so you can get the care you need as soon as you need it.
Can I Pay for Physical Therapy Treatments Out-of-Pocket?
All patients have the option to pay for their appointments out-of-pocket. You can either pay by cash, check, or credit card at the time of service, or you can set up a payment plan.
